Food waste in general waste is costing you
A local food waste service that actually works
We set up the bins, handle the pickups, and make sure your food waste ends up composted: not in landfill.
Scheduled collection
Daily, every other day, or weekly: we collect your food waste on a schedule that matches how your business actually operates.
FOGO-compliant
Our collection meets NSW EPA FOGO guidelines. Your food scraps and organics go to a composting facility, not landfill.
Local and reachable
We are based in Orange. You deal with a local person, not a call centre. One call or message and we're on it.
Food waste is the single biggest opportunity most businesses have to cut their landfill bill and their environmental footprint at the same time.
The NSW EPA's FOGO framework: Food Organics and Garden Organics: is driving a shift away from putting food scraps in general waste. Businesses that get ahead of this save money now and avoid compliance headaches later.

Food waste is one of the most damaging materials going into landfill across regional NSW. When food scraps break down in landfill without oxygen, they produce methane: a greenhouse gas significantly more potent than CO2. At the same time, businesses pay the full NSW waste levy on every kilogram of general waste sent to landfill, including all the food mixed into it.
Separating food waste into a dedicated FOGO stream solves both problems. The material goes to a composting facility instead of landfill, reducing methane emissions and cutting the levy cost on your waste bill. For businesses generating significant food waste: kitchens, cafes, restaurants, and food service operations: this is usually the single highest-impact change available.
We collect food waste across Orange, Bathurst, Dubbo, Parkes, Forbes, Cowra and surrounding towns. If you're not sure whether we service your area, get in touch and we'll let you know. There's no minimum volume, and the initial waste audit is free.
Food waste collection FAQ
What is FOGO?
FOGO stands for Food Organics and Garden Organics. It's the term the NSW EPA uses for the separate collection and composting of food scraps and garden waste. Rather than going to landfill, FOGO material is composted and returned to the soil. The NSW Government is progressively rolling out FOGO requirements across the state, and businesses that separate their food waste now are ahead of where regulation is heading.
Which businesses need food waste collection?
Any business generating regular food scraps benefits from a separate collection: cafes, restaurants, hotels, pubs, supermarkets, schools, aged care facilities, hospitals, food manufacturers and catering operations. The more food waste your business produces, the more you save by keeping it out of general waste and the landfill levy.
Can compostable packaging go in the food waste bin?
Not currently in NSW. Compostable and biodegradable packaging is excluded from organics bins under current NSW EPA guidelines due to PFAS contamination concerns. Food scraps and garden organics are accepted; packaging is not, even if it carries a compostable certification. This may change as regulations evolve, but for now the rule is food and garden waste only.
How often will you collect food waste?
It depends on your volumes. A busy restaurant or hotel kitchen may need daily or every-other-day pickup. A smaller cafe may need two or three pickups per week. We assess your volumes in the initial audit and set a schedule that matches your operation: no guessing, no overservicing.
Do you service areas outside Orange?
Yes. We collect across the Central West including Bathurst, Dubbo, Parkes, Forbes, Cowra, Lithgow and surrounding towns. Get in touch with your location and we'll confirm coverage and pricing for your area.
